I was learning to name shapes and understand the features of the shapes.

I found this easy  because I know my shapes really well

I am learning to describe a Kea in three different ways, what it looks like, what it eats and where it lives. I found this interesting because I found more facts about the Kea. My next step is to find facts about another bird.

I am learning to compare a blackbird with a Saddle back/Tieke.
I  found this task hard because it was hard to find information about each bird.
My next step is to try not to add very simple similarities.

My Reflection

I am learning to write about a town in New Zealand.
I was able to write about the town that the teacher told me to write about.
I found it hard because I had to go into other website to find information.
My next step is to write another information report about another town.

My Reflection

I am learning to right a narrative about a boring school day that turn into a epic adventure.
I was able to write a good narrative.
I found this easy because I already wrote a lot of narratives in my life.
My next step is to use better words in my writing.

Converting Fractions

Reflection

I was learning to convert an improper fraction to an mixed fraction and the other way around.

I had to add and times the mixed fraction to make it an improper fraction.

I thought it was easy because I know how to add and times.

I chose to share my learning by creating a blog post and sharing how I worked it out.

My next step is to convert harder fractions.

Summarising Information

My Reflection
I have been learning to find and summarise information by choosing the most important information.
I found this interesting because I got to find out more information about Sir Ernest Rutherford.
I found summarising the information easy because I already knew some things about him.
My next step is to find more information about him. 

NZ Write

 My Reflection
I got an item to write about. I wrote about a smooth stone, I thought of lots of words before I wrote my poem. I am proud of my describing words.

Summarising

My Reflection

I am learning to summarise the text.

It was tricky to find key words. I had to read he text carefully a few times.

It was helpful to do this activity with the teacher and a buddy.

My next learning step is to use what I learnt about summarising and try to do this with another text.

I am proud of this art which I did at Te Tuhi . I am proud of my NZ images because it was awesome to see my print through my background colour.

My reflection

I am learning to identify the parts of a graph. It was easy because I watched a slide show and I had a good example to refer to. My next learning step is to create a graph with data that I collect.
